​Hi, I’m Kendra — the paint-splattered, matcha-loving mum behind The Doodling Crafter!

 

I started out painting Australian seascapes and nature — I’ve always loved the calm of the ocean, the shimmer of sunlight on water, the charm of our cuddly koalas and iconic kangaroos.

 

My art was my peaceful escape… until a tiny tornado named Eddie arrived. 💕

 

When Eddie was born, everything changed — in the most beautiful and magical way. Suddenly, my paintings were bursting with bright colours, happy faces, and the wild imagination of childhood. Eddie (and all my friends’ little ones) reminded me that creativity doesn’t need to be perfect — it just needs to be joyful.

 

Every piece I make starts as an original painting, then finds its way onto handcrafted clay earrings, tote bags, tea towels, and cushions — each one designed to bring a splash of colour and a sprinkle of imagination into everyday life.

 

My goal? To create art that makes both kids and grown-ups smile, connects families through creativity, and reminds us all that play and art belong in every home. 🌈

Our logo carries a deeper story — it is inspired by the Chinese character for “craftsman” (匠), honouring my heritage and the generations of makers before me. It embodies my wish to create pieces that reflect quality, creativity, and craftsmanship, blending tradition with imagination.
